Meet the Lesbians

I just said that out loud, didn’t I? 😛 [click on images to expand]

Presenting (some of) the gorgeous lesbians in The L Word, a drama series by Showtime about the lives of a group of lesbian friends in California! In case you’re wondering, yes, the fact that they’re lesbians – and that there’s lots of full-blown sex (!!!) in the series – is why this show will never hit Malaysian cable.

Introducing the seven friends you see above, one by one [left to right]..

Bette Porter is the curator of the California Arts Center. She’s a fiercely independent career woman who’s more than willing to go the distance for a cause she believes in. But just how far will she go just to prove she can?

Tina Kennard is Bette’s other half, and the both of them are, yes, married. Looking to conceive with the help of a sperm donor, the search for a child is a strain on Tina’s relationship with Bette. Will Tina find Mr. Right in time to live happily ever after with Ms. Right?

Jenny Schecter is the new girl in town, moving in at the behest of her long-time boyfriend Tim. However, her dreams of settling down are suddenly derailed when she experiences a “Close Encounter of The L Kind”. Confused and emotional, whose team will she decide to play on now?

Shane McCutcheon lays to rest the claim that only men can be womanizers. Charming, suave and very tomboy-ish in nature, she is constantly seen about with a different girl in her arms. Can she keep up her fuck-and-flee lifestyle at the rate she brings other girls’ lives crashing down?

Alice Pieszecki is a journalist for a prominent women’s magazine. While she may have her pulse on the hottest news, she still remains naive as far as relationships are concerned. When the emergence of an old flame threatens to set her heart racing once again, can she find true love once and for all?

Marina Ferrer is the beautiful owner of “The Planet” cafe, a favorite hangout of the lesbian girls. Her height, exotic heritage and domineering nature have had many a girl obsessing over her. But when she sets her sights on an elusive, unwilling young prey, just how long can she play the game of cat-and-mouse?

Dana Fairbanks is a bona fide tennis star who is forced to keep her sexuality a secret or risk losing it all. Complicated relationships and false facades mark the flow of her life. But how much longer can she keep her true nature hidden under the passionate assault of an adorable admirer?

So many people, so many troubles, so much drama! Now you see why I’m hooked onto this show? Yes, I admit, the lesbian sex plays a HUGE part in that too, but you gotta love the show for the drama! 😀

Oh, and excuse me, I’m off to the next episode now. Ta!
